The first of its kind in Asia, KidZania promises a whole day of fun. This new place for children is designed as an edutainment theme park, where kids can role-play the vocation of their choice.

Probably the most popular destination for a family vacation in Malaysia, Legoland offers more than 70 hands-on rides, slides, shows and attractions.

Everything is really hands-on and you are encouraged to push, pedal, program, steer, splash, and have a fun interactive time on the attractions. There are several themed areas, such as Lego TECHNIC and Lego KINGDOMS, where children can explore attractions ranging from experiment centres to rollercoasters. This theme park in Tambun has attractions for all ages. If your kids love playing in water, then this water theme is a great spot to take them for the Malaysia school holidays.

Set in the midst of limestone cliffs and jungle, it has activities ranging from tube rides and a wave pool at the Water Park to rollercoaster rides and adventure trails at the Amusement Park.

Those who want their children to learn more about nature should check out the Tiger Valley and the Petting Zoo.

For kids to get really close to nature, the Tabin Wildlife Reserve is the place to be. This area of lowland dipterocarp forest is home to many endangered animals, such as the Borneo pygmy elephant, tembadau and the orangutan.

Aside from animals, the other highlights here include the active and mineral-rich mud volcanoes – which attract a lot of wildlife. You can also go on a jungle trek, enjoy a night safari or night walk, try bird-watching, and learn about the rainforest.
